About the product:
· The ActiGraph records activity by measuring movement through an internal accelerometer.
The movement is then measured over a specified time segment called an epoch. This epoch can be from one second to several minutes.

* Note- A one epoch of zero duration is special in that it forces the instrument to store the raw accelerometer measurements without any internal processing for up to 1-¾ hours. This mode is useful to those interested in digitizing and recording raw kinetic accelerations of the limbs or body
.
· Start And Stops. The ActiGraph can be programmed to delay the start time of data collection for the use of multiple instruments. Activity data is time and date stamped. Data is stored in nonvolatile RAM. This means any data collected cannot be lost even if one were to remove the battery.

· Battery Life. Battery life is 5 ½ months. Battery life can be viewed when initializing and downloading the ActiGraph . The ActiGraph uses a coin cell battery and can be found in local stores. The only tools required are a jeweler's screwdrivers.

· The ActiGraph is tamper proof and water resistant. It has no external switches, jacks, or displays to attract the subjects' attention. The ActiGraph case is made out of a polycarbonate material.

· Software - The software included in the evaluation system is a Windows based program. It is easy to use and read.
